About Me
My name is Darragh Walsh, I am an artist and sculptor living in the lake side town of Jindabyne in the heart of the Snowy Mountains.
I am the son of an artist and it has always been in my blood to create and design. Sculpting and Art is my outlet, every piece I compose is an expression of my own creativity.
After learning to weld 5 years ago I was finally able to start using a new medium to construct my designs and ideas. Forging them together to allow them to last a life time for generations to enjoy.
I love to collaborate with people for custom designs and one of a kind art. My Work has been on display in the last 3 lake light sculpture exhibitions. Many of my sculptures have been purchased locally and are now on public display for all to enjoy.
I work mainly in steel and timber to create and capture my love for the mountains and surrounds. Everything is hand made using scrap metal, recycled metal and old fence pilings where ever possible. Most of the materials are sourced locally in the snowy mountains. I reuse any off cuts to help reduce my own waste
